2. What data we collect

• Account data: Email address, name (from your identity provider)
• Vehicle data: Registration numbers, make, model, year, colour, MOT/tax/insurance dates, mileage, service history, vehicle images
• Garage data: Garage names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses
• Insurance data: Provider names, policy numbers, contact details
• Usage data: Appointment bookings, alert acknowledgements

3. How we use your data

• To provide the GarageHQ vehicle management service
• To send email reminders about upcoming MOT, tax, insurance, and service dates
• To send appointment confirmation emails and calendar invites
• To look up vehicle information from the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service

4. Third-party services

• Cloudflare: Hosting, DNS, database (D1), and access control
• DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service: Vehicle data lookup by registration
• Microsoft Graph API: Sending email notifications
• Stripe: Payment processing (paid plans only)
• Microsoft Entra ID / Google: Authentication
• Google Tag Manager: Tag container that loads our analytics and ad-performance tags on garagehq.uk. Currently configured to load Google Analytics (GA4) for anonymous usage measurement, with Google Ads conversion tracking planned. Opt-in only via the cookie banner. Never loaded if you reject the banner.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Cloudflare D1 databases, encrypted at rest, and transmitted over HTTPS. Vehicle images are stored as encrypted blobs. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties beyond the services listed above.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@garagehq.uk.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Cookies

GarageHQ uses essential cookies for authentication sessions and theme preferences.

On this marketing site (garagehq.uk), we also use Google Tag Manager to load tags that help us measure how visitors find and use the site, and to attribute Google Ads clicks to outcomes. The tag manager itself is opt-in only via the cookie banner; nothing loads if you reject it. Your choice is stored locally in your browser, so it follows you across visits but not across devices.
