Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 April 2026

1. Agreement

By using GarageHQ ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is provided by GarageHQ UK Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

2. The Service

GarageHQ is a vehicle management platform that helps you track MOT, tax, insurance, service history, mileage, and garage appointments. We integrate with the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service and the DVSA MOT History Service to provide vehicle data, and with a third-party provenance data partner to provide the vehicle history check feature (described in section 5 below).

3. Accounts

4. Subscriptions and billing

5. Vehicle history checks

GarageHQ's vehicle history check feature returns a report on a UK-registered vehicle covering signals including (but not limited to) stolen-register status, insurance write-off category, outstanding finance, mileage anomalies, previous keepers, plate and colour changes, import / export markers, and full MOT history.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Data accuracy

Data from the DVLA, the DVSA, and our third-party provenance partner is provided as-is. While we strive for accuracy, we are not responsible for errors in source data. MOT and tax dates, and any signal in a vehicle history check report, should be verified independently before making purchase or other significant decisions.

8. Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any missed MOT, tax, or insurance deadlines, even if the reminder system fails. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on a vehicle history check report, including where a signal that should have appeared was not returned by our data partner. Always verify independently.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the settings page, or by emailing us to invoke your GDPR Article 17 right to erasure.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
